As a visual effects artist I'm certainly on the creative side of life. I help to create awesome animations for TV show packages, promos, commercials or TV series.
But I'm more than a creative professional. I'm also interested in business, economics and politics. I work in an organized fashion and like making use of the latest technologies to keep my work neat and my thoughts on track. I'm resourceful, quick minded, a critical thinker, argumentative debater, strategic, organized, efficient, a long-range visionary and an objective problem solver.
My motto is: Everything could need enhancement.
In the past I've been working on projects for clints like Discovery Channel, Ubisoft, AMC network, Matel, Natinal Geographic, GEICO and many more. As a generalist I've been used for all sorts of tasks. In particular I've been used to create VFX and motion graphics. Key responsibilites were creating photorealistic hard surface models, shaders, compositing, animation, but also more organizational tasks such as toolkiting.
My educational background is not quiet conventional. After finishing middle school I started a traineeship as an industrial clerk for Grundig AG, one of the leading consumer electronics companies back in the day. I gained great administrative experience and was exposed to web development. Afterwards I gained my Abitur which allowed me to go to a college or university. At the university of applied sciences Ansbach I started to study Multimedia and Communication which I finished with very good grades. During my studies I attended a motion graphics internship at Big Machine Design in Los Angeles, CA. This is the company that hired me as an animator after I finished college.
I like modeling in an organized and precise way. Mechanical hard surface objects with great detail are my strengths.
Modeling, Animation, Particle Simulation, Color Correction, Compositing. Visual Effects is a multifaceted topic in which I have very good skills.
